How does NCHNA help our neighborhood? We are involved in several activities that help enhance the quality of life for area residents.

Activities

Building Relationships

We meet bi-monthly to share information and forge ties among neighbors. Guest speakers are invited several times a year to make presentations on topics of interest
to NCHNA members.

Preventing Crime

Establishing A Neighborhood Identity

We operate a neighborhood watch patrol conducted by volunteers who have been trained by the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Protecting the Environment

We have placed sign-toppers at major intersections in the neighborhood to identify this area as North Coronado Heights and demonstrate pride in our neighborhood..

We sponsor an annual household hazardous waste special collection event in N. Rotary Park to make it easy for residents to safely dispose of unwanted toxic materials that might otherwise harm children, pets, wildlife, soil, and waterways.

We host social events to encourage people to get acquainted with their neighbors, a part of building a stronger and safer community.

We communicate with members through a bi-monthly newsletter, emails, social media, and other means.

We conduct a litter removal project every April, in which neighborhood volunteers clean up trash from our area's major streets.

We have placed crime watch signage throughout the area to show our commitment to crime prevention.

We work closely with the Police Department's Community Relations Divison on issues related to crime in our area, and we distribute neighborhood crime statistics, compiled by the Police Department, to area residents.
